Cookies are small text files that web pages save on the computers of their users, by which the users visit the Internet. The cookie by itself does not contain or collect any data, but if it is read by the server and the web browser together, the web page can use it in order to offer user friendly services – the web page can for example remember previous purchases of the user or his/her account information. Such cookies can, on trustworthy web pages, enrich user experience. As a result, the interaction between the user and the web page is, with the help of cookies, faster and simplified.

Some concrete examples of the use of cookies:

  • for an improved user experience, the web page viewing is user customized, based on previous visits
  • for saving the choices of narrow selections of products and offers and their comparison
  • on the parts of the web page where it is required, we keep you logged (signed) in
  • for your device recognition (computer, tab, cell phone etc.), to customize the display of web page content on your device
  • for the monitoring of the web pages that the user visits, in order to control the efficiency of the displayed content, the suitability of ads and the constant improvement of the web page
